Enough
Peace isn't the absence of hunger. It's not having to think about it.
No one in the room was hungry that day.
From August 31 to September 4, 2026, more than 5,000 delegates gathered in Kigali for the 20th Africa Food Systems Forum, pledging roughly $100 billion toward closing the gap that left an estimated 309 million people across the continent undernourished last year.
The number that stayed with me wasn't the billions. It was the smaller, harder-to-measure moment somewhere ahead of it — a hand finally resting next to a bowl instead of guarding it.
